Peanut-Butterfinger Blondies
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1/4 cup creamy natural peanut butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2/3 cup coarsely chopped Butterfingers
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line an 8x8-inch square baking dish with foil; coat foil with cooking spray.
Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat; whisk in peanut butter and sugar, and bring mixture to a boil, stirring frequently. Remove pan from heat and cool for 5 minutes.
In a medium-sized mixing bowl, sift together flour and salt.
In a large mixing bowl, using a mixer on high speed, beat the eggs and vanilla for 2 minutes. Reduce mixer speed to low, and gradually add peanut butter mixture. Increase mixer speed to high, and beat 1-2 minutes, of until really well combined. Stir in flour mixture and Butterfinger, by hand, until just combined.
Scrape batter into prepared baking dish, and bake at 350 degrees F, for 25-28 minutes, or until light golden. Cool completely before lifting foil out and slicing into bars. Freeze for easier slicing.

No no no! Here's what you have to do, pay attention if you want to get thinner: Spread the brownie with buttercream, then pass by flour and egg and then deep fry. Let it cool and cover completely with chocolate. Let the chocolate harden, cut the blondie into chuncks and use them to make cookies. Those are the cookies to eat if you want to get thin! Hope this helps! ;)
ReplyDeleteOh I'm SURE the deep frying will do the trick! That was a HECK of a lot of fruit and grain they poured into that there little cookie!
ReplyDeleteI'm making these. I'm making them and I'm reporting back (but I'm substituting the butterfingers for something available in Poland...)
LOL! Your humour is right up my alley Em! Maybe if we breaded them with coconut THEN deep fried them they would make you thinner!
ReplyDeleteYou are so funny Emiline. I have started that cookie diet years ago, but still no results... I think it's definitely in the deep frying.
ReplyDeleteYep, deep frying must be the trick. I often try these kinds of diets... for example, I tried a liquid diet yesterday of Snickerdoodle Ice Cream... but it didn't seem to work very well. Maybe if I combine exercise?
ReplyDeleteRemember when I made those Butterfinger Brownies (that were really blondies)? These look similarly delish. I bet the ice cream/caramel really put them over the top. Did you use FF caramel??
Anything topped with ice cream is a good idea, no matter what the weight goal. Awesome blondies.
ReplyDeleteI love being on a cookie diet:) These blondies look delightful! I can't wait to make them!
ReplyDeleteDeep fried food is the key to a slender figure, I'll say. :)
ReplyDeleteThese look delicious, Emiline. I'd love to have them right now. :)
I think CC has the right idea, but just to be on the safe side, you really should wash it all down with a malted milkshake. I had one today, and my jeans feel loose already.
ReplyDeleteha! i'm laughing. yes, i think clumbsy cookie has the idea. All these blondies need is a little chocolate sauce and whipped cream — the secret ingredients for helping you to drop those last few pounds. be persistent!
ReplyDeleteyum! those look fabulous and i love peanut butter. i love your blog - thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteI'm allergic, but I'll take the Butterfingers. Oh, I think I'm allergic to them too. Well, crap. Ya know, I'd TOTALLY go to the hospital over these. Totally. But only if the ice cream was involved, too.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Cookie's method, however I would make ice cream cookie sandwiches out of them, and dip them in peanut butter dip... like at the ice cream shop :) Yup, I'm thinking 5 lbs lost in 2 hours.
ReplyDeleteTrust me I'm a doctor (in 8 weeks) ;)
Woman! You are tempting me again! These look fantabulous. And I'm sure they'll help me to lose that last 15 pounds :)
ReplyDeleteWhat great combo you come up with! The title alone sounds sooo good!
ReplyDeleteI'd eat an all-cookie diet if you were doing the baking. That's one heckuva blondie sundae you assembled there.
ReplyDeleteReally though, this doesn't look like it needs much in the way of improvement. No deep frying is necessary.
I like your blondie diet better than the cookie diet. I bet your blondies taste WAY better.
ReplyDeleteI love that you bake with natural peanut butter instead its 'regular' counterpart. The texture of these looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteEmiline, I must say that I'm impressed by your creativity to come up with different headers. Where do you get the ideas from?
Seriously hilarious. I see those cookie diet carts through the malls and think are they crazy? They must taste nasty.
ReplyDeleteI'll join your blondie diet anytime, I'll take the scoop of ice cream too!
Cute new banner!
ReplyDeleteI sometimes do a little experiment where I eat as many sweets as I can just waiting to see the tipping point of when my jeans get too tight. Weird, I know. I'll have to add these blondies to my repertoire.
Emiline these look seriously good. I am lucky to have a very dear friend in the US and she has sent me a pack of Butterfingers in my birthday package, so I will defintely be making these!

Emiline you really make me smile when I read your posts :)
ReplyDeleteI'm going for deep frying then pile on the buttercream - great for the figure ;)
Your blondies look delicious!!

Oohhhh, man- deep frying that WOULD be kick ass! Do it!
ReplyDeleteI really, really like your new header thing, too! It's sooo cute.
Oh my goodness, I can't believe that that's a real dieting plan being marketed - HAHA!!! Too funny. But hey, I'd gladly eat those Peanut-Butterfinger Blondies everyday, even though the LAST thing that I ever need to do is lose weight.
ReplyDeleteOML you put Butterfingers in the Blondies? I heart you! Seriously, Butterfingers are my favorite candy bar. I think I'm going to cry with joy....sniff...
ReplyDeleteLOL, I'm all for the cookie diet - especially when served with caramel sauce and icecream :)
ReplyDeleteYou come up with the greatest combinations. They look amazing.
ReplyDeleteI think you should develop The BROWNIE Diet. If cookies work, then brownies should work even better!
I'm not one for Butterfingers, but I wouldn't pass on this if offered one.
ReplyDeleteStill waiting on what you'd do with a Snickers...
hahah thats pretty funny! I wanna try the cookie diet. do oreos count?
ReplyDeleteYum! Maybe if I eat the cookie with a DIET coke that will do the trick.
ReplyDeleteI love your new header!
ReplyDeleteI love your website! this recipe is a must try since its so 'low fat'.
ReplyDeletealthough i'v been planning to make your not so low fat oreo cream cheese swirled brownies this weekend!
i'm convinced that deep-frying something automatically improves it, no matter what it is. shoestring? yep. cd? yep. napkin? absolutely.
ReplyDeletemeanwhile, that little "cookie jar" tune will be in my head all day. takes me all the way back to kindergarten. :)
How about chicken-fried peanut butter-Butterfinger blondies?!
ReplyDeleteThough I think the sundae with the ice cream and caramel looks kinds perfect, I must say... :)
I needed something to make this weekend for labor day and this is it. Be still my heart! I think I lost 20 lbs. just looking at the photos!
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to be "good" lately...but I think I'm going to have to make these! Butterfingers are my favorite candy ever! And I can never get enough PB...the combination sounds awesome!
ReplyDeleteThose look amazing. An all-cookie diet--now that's something I could really get behind.
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking about going on a diet to get rid of those 10/12 pounds I gained after finding the food blog world. This might be an easier & yummier answer to fitting back into my skinny jeans! Thanks for the recipe. I just printed it up!
ReplyDelete~ingrid
I am laughing SO HARD right now! Oh my goodness you are funny!!!!!
ReplyDeleteCindy
ohhh i love the new banner and look! and this looks delicious!! mmmm
ReplyDeleteVery witty, Em. LOL. Your blondies look fab.
ReplyDeleteI usually don't go for the blondies because they aren't rich enough and don't have enough dark chocolate in them but these, of course, Ms. Sugar Plum are mouth-watering if I may say so. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm really surprised that the sundae version didn't make you slimmer...yeah I guess you'll have to try deep frying.
ReplyDeleteHmmm....reading your blog makes me both fat and diabetic...luckily your funny as hell, so it totally makes up for it!
ReplyDeleteThat looks deelish and I love that you ingredient list is simple and short. But oh yes, I'd have to have it as a sundae also.
ReplyDeleteEmiline these look absolutely delicious!!!!! and....what is diet????????? I dont remember!!! (is a joke) LOL Gloria
ReplyDeleteOh, yeah. I love the idea of the cookie diet...especially cookies with Butterfingers...
ReplyDeleteDang you got a lot of comments on hes bars!
ReplyDeleteI'd eat those butterfinger bars for three meals, that's for sure. THey're chock full of protein!
Since I love cakes and cookies a cookie diet would be the one for me!!!! I'll let you know when the results are in!!!!
ReplyDeletefunny! i love the way you think...definitely go with the ice cream..but oh well. cookies will definitely make my brain thinner cos all that sugar will just fry my brain and it'd be completely useless except for telling my tastebuds what to do! :D
ReplyDeletehahahaha .. i think you have the perfect formula to get thing. I think you should patent it.
ReplyDeleteMy son could quite happily go on a diet like this, he has a serious sweet tooth, The blondie topped with ice-cream looks so delicious!!
ReplyDeleteOh you are hilarious!
ReplyDeleteSo you havent lost any weight?? that is strange! maybe if you batter them and then deep fry them in loads of vegetable oil, you loose a few pounds:-)
ReplyDeleteThey look great as they are thogh:-)
X M
Look at what I missed out on! Looks terrif and delish...haha! What a fun way to really add great flavor to blondies. I'm saving this recipe, the hubby loves PB!
