Uh-oh. I still have one more very famous, very important bakery in New York City to tell you about, but guess what? I haven't had any time to blog or read blogs in the past few days. I've been getting ready to go on my next trip. I'm flying via weather balloon to Fresno, California today. Home of Cher and Kevin Federline.
I can't tell you how lucky I am and shocked that I get to go on a "Pomegranate Harvest Tour" sponsored by POM. I'm not sure how I was chosen, but POM picked fifteen bloggers to fly out to Fresno and tour the pomegranate orchards and factory. They're providing airfare, hotel, dinners, even a "fly-over" over the orchards.
Isn't that crazy? Please don't hate me. I'm telling you, these POM people are really, really nice. They've been sending out kiwi and nectarine pomegranate juice samples to everyone lately, too, which are delicious.
Anyway, I have no idea how I was chosen, but I plan to find out when I get there. I figured out some of the other bloggers who are going and I'm nervous about meeting them. When I get into large groups of people I tend to become sort of a loner. I've never read their blogs or spoken with with any of them. I'm afraid I'm going to make a fool out of myself. Sometimes I do the stupidest things, seriously. Spilling drinks, tripping, saying the wrong things at the wrong time, stuff like that.
I'll miss you all! Take care! I'll be back later this week. I'm excited because I've never been to California before. I always dreamt of going when I was younger. I think I might secretly be a California girl at heart. I'm also excited because I don't have to work! Yes! I love not working.
I'll be updating Facebook with pictures of what's going on, and when I come back I'll have all the juicy pomegranate details. Now listen to some music and enjoy the rest of your day.

Oh, I love that POM stuff, ever since I pulled off a barter with a man who had extra cases to trade off on zippee.com. I didn't know their orchards were near Fresno! Fancy that.
I know the feeling of not knowing what to say in large groups. But you'll do great because there will be lots of yummy-ness to talk about!

I love Pomegranate juice. I am a California girl and hereby crown you a California girl just for saying you secretly wanted to be one. There! Fresno is inland..but I have a cousin and some good friends that live there. Have a great time.

I grew up in Fresno and currently live about 30 minutes south of there. We have had pomegranate trees and I grew up on pomegranate jelly. Those suckers are a mess to juice and stain everything. Happy travels!
I saw your photos on FB. How totally fun for you! Hey, POM sent me some of the two new flavors. And I stupidly put them in the cupboard (away from the boys so they wouldn't drink them) and realized about two weeks later that they are supposed to be refrigerated! If you get a chance, wanna ask "them" if they are still good. Do they just "ferment" quickly? I'm bummed if I don't get to try them.

I hope your having fun in my home state!! I miss Cali everyday. Fresno is not the best town to see for your first time :) but you would love SF if you love NY- seriously the bay area is so beautiful and the food is amaaazing as well.
