

Peach Crisp

Ingredients:
Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
Stir together peaches and 1 tablespoon flour until combined. Place in a small baking dish.
In a large bowl, stir together 1/2 cup flour, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Knead in butter, using fingertips, until well incorporated and mealy. Sprinkle mixture on top of peaches. Bake 35 minutes or until golden brown.
Makes 6 servings

- 4 cups sliced peaches
- 1 tablespoon all purpose flour + 1/2 cup
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into small pieces

Baking is much more of an instant gratification than decorating. More delicious too.

ReplyDeleteI agree, a crisp NEEDS vanilla ice cream. But I love the simplicity of this dessert, have been making quite a few crumbles myself lately thanks to all the summer bounty of fruit.
