Congrats to Eric! You guys look adorable! I have that layer cake slicing kit and it has been a godsend. I bought it off OpenSky.com when it was one of Buddy Valastro's picks. I'm in L-O-V-E with it. And the knife that comes with it is SO great because it's incredibly long. Get it. You won't regret it.

I definitely will check out that site. There are some great ideas there! I have issues with multilayer cakes too.

Sorry about your panettone. I think that's just one of those things you can't do easily or quickly. It's a long, hard process and that's why most Italians trust it to bakeries. I think it's a wonderful idea to add it to bread pudding though!

Aw, sorry to hear about the Panettone! We all have those baking errors sometimes, but it's good to see that you turned it into something tasty, though! I consider this guy (link below) a very meticulous baker, and he just posted a recipe for panettone! I've yet to try it, but I am sure it's spot-on. :)

Your bread pudding is gorgeous! Whatever do you mean that it's ugly?!! If it's a bit dry, you just serve it with lots of extra custard, which is the best part anyway.
