I hate to admit it, but I'm not a big fan of Driscoll's. The fruit always looks good, so it's tempting to buy it. I don't find a lot of flavor in it, though, and it doesn't seem to make much difference whether it's in season or not. So unless I'm looking for a few pieces to make a pretty garnish, I use frozen fruit in the winter (as long as everything's getting cooked anyway) and look forward to the fresh and local fruit in the summer. I have to admit I kind of like the idea that strawberries come out in May and June only!

Raspberries all the way. They're very playful, you can stick them on your fingertips and the seeds sort of pop when you eat them. Mmmmmm! Cheesecake isn't my go-to dessert either but I do make a pretty phenom white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake. With fresh raspberries on top of course!
