Ingredients:
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon almond extract (optional)
1 large egg
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup coarsely chopped pastel colored chocolate candies
1/2 cup chocolate chips
2 tablespoons sprinkles
Instructions:
In large mixing bowl, using a mixer on medium speed, beat together butter, cream cheese, sugar, vanilla and almond extract until creamy - about 1-2 minutes. Beat in egg until well combined - about 2 minutes. Beat in baking soda, baking powder and salt until well combined. Reduce mixer speed to low and beat in flour until almost incorporated. Beat in candies, chocolate chips and sprinkles until just combined.
Chill dough in refrigerator for 1 hour or until cold. Heat oven to 350 degrees f.
Drop rounded spoonfuls onto cookie sheets, spacing about an inch apart. Bake about 12 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool 1 minute before transferring to wire racks to cool.

Aww thank you! You're sweet!
DeleteI love the way these cookies look! Who can resist a pretty chocolate chip cookie? Not me. I know what you mean about summer. It seems to fly by but winter just goes on and on. i hate cold weather....
ReplyDeleteThanks, Debbie! I know I can't.
DeleteThey look delicious! How neat that you added almond extract. I love to add that, along with vanilla, to my peanut butter cookies. I think people forget that a dab really adds a nice touch.
ReplyDeleteI really like the flavor of almond extract... I know a lot of people don't enjoy it though. I'll have to try adding it to PB cookies!
DeleteUgh! Don't start talking about fall yet. Especially don't talk about pumpkin spice lattes!
ReplyDeleteTalk about cookies all you want. I'm way into these. Now I need a bunch of dessert occasions so I can make these cookies and your brownies.
I do apologize! I always forget you hate pumpkin.
DeleteThis might be the first time I am not looking forward to fall since last winter was so bad. I'm with you on the pumpkin spice lattes...in fact, I bet it would pair well with those cookies (which look wonderful).
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Jim! I agree! That sounds delicious!
DeleteHow does confetti make ALL THE THINGS better! Even CCCs. Yum to these!
