I love grandma recipes! And I love that picture about resentment. Too funny. (It must be an "old time" thing to do heaping cups of things. My grandma's chocolate chip cookie recipe says 5 heaping cups of flour. (It's a huge recipe and uses all shortening.)
ReplyDeleteHaha. Glad you like it, Katrina! :) You're definitely right about the "heaping".
DeleteFamily recipes always taste the best. Apple crisp is one of my favorite desserts, and the more crumb topping, the better!
ReplyDeleteIt's soo good! I must have vanilla ice cream on mine.
DeleteI've noticed that grandma's recipes (not just yours, mine too!) seem so much simpler/have less ingredients. I love that! And yet they taste so wonderful...
ReplyDeleteThey do! Maybe that's a lesson for all of us! Maybe we should cook more simply.
DeleteGotta love Grandma! These recipes are so special!
ReplyDeleteYou can never have too many crumbles on top on an apple crisp!
ReplyDeleteI thought you could, but you really can't!
Deleteso many of my grandma's recipes are recorded like that, so i've taken it upon myself to type them up and am making a book. don't want to lose those classics!
ReplyDeleteThat's an excellent idea!
Deletegrandma's always have the best recipes!
ReplyDeleteI completely agree! I need to make more of her recipes.
